If you've got a big Christmas night out coming up, it can be tempting to rush to the shops and buy a new sequin dress you'll only wear once, no matter how much you insist you'll find a new way to wear it. And I don't blame you, festive season was made for sparkles, after all. But I've found some pieces you can wear not just once, not just twice, but every week for the rest of the year.
A pair of black jeans are an essential for anybody's wardrobe, we know this, and even though I am still loyal to my ASOS farleigh jeans, I may have fallen in love with this pair of kick flares from Weekday. Proper quality denim, comfy as anything and they suck you in after one too many mince pies. Perfect. I've paired mine with an on-trend, sparkly animal print top. Great not just for going to the local on Christmas Eve, but for throwing on with a pair of trainers for any old occasion. Who says sparkles are just for Christmas, after all?
I picked up this zebra print top on a bit of a whim, after spying it in the last chance section of Liverpool's topshop store and having seen it on @bexrobb's Instagram stories the night before. I've been on the hunt for the perfect top for the 'jeans and a nice top' dress code, but I've always struggled - one's too cropped, one's too sheer, one's too casual. Until now. Like, I genuinely believe I might have cracked the jeans and a nice top code. Where's my medal?
