Another Sunday, another Tobi top. This time we're talking about this little mesh number. I've mentioned a few times over the past year or so how much I'd like a mesh top in my wardrobe, they're good for throwing under t-shirts for a grungey look or wearing over a bralette on a night out. Thankfully, my wish has been fulfilled and this diamond pattern mesh top from Tobi is now a solid choice in my party season wardrobe.
It's all well and good buying a see-through top, sequin dress or sky high heels for your Christmas night out, but how do you get your money's worth? For me, it's all about layering. This top can be worn under things, like a cute shift dress, but for a bit of a challenge I thought, what about under an off the shoulder top? Or what about over something, like a skin tight turtleneck jumper? It adds a bit of texture to an otherwise "boring" outfit, right? Of course I'm sticking to my favourite colour combo of black and red, which you might have seen in last week's post.
In true party season fashion, I decided to make a bit of an effort with my makeup, using a NYX quad and my Kat Von D metal crush eyeshadow in raw power. Is anyone else getting My Chemical Romance vibes, or is that just me? I've been thinking of doing some more beauty related content, especially in the run up to Christmas, but I'm just not sure on the format. Do you prefer blog posts, Youtube videos or Insta stories? I'd really love to know so give me your opinion in the comments below. You never know, I might just go ahead and do it. I'm definitely not much of a beauty guru, by any means, but I do like chatting about makeup and find the whole thing pretty therapeutic, do you know what I mean?
If you haven't seen the rest of my posts featuring my favourite pieces from Tobi yet, make sure to check out my most recent fashion posts and my Instagram for more snaps! And a big thank you to Jessi from Jessi Lou Blog for taking these snaps for me!
Good vibes guys ✌🏼

Very pretty! I love the look of the red and black outfit pieces you styled together in your OOTD. The black mesh top styled under the off shoulder red top looks alluring, and your hair, lipstick and eye-makeup all look gorgeous!!!

Love this look! And whenever I go anywhere near a reddy orange eyeshadow My Chemical Romance starts playing in my mind!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the mesh looking so cool under a lacy/frilly/pastel party dress to toughen it up! The orange shades in your makeup really suit both of your eye colours too x
