Inside Selfridges' beauty hall in the Trafford Centre, there's a hell of a lot of concessions to choose from. Tom Ford, Nars, Urban Decay...but with neither of us having tried anything Charlotte Tilbury yet - yeah, I know, way behind the times - we opted for a Mother's Day makeup appointment at the Charlotte Tilbury concession in Selfridges.
With mum having never had her makeup done professionally before and me only having iffy experiences in the past, we were both a little nervous, but the girls at the Charlotte Tilbury concession made us feel super comfortable and had us laughing and joking within seconds. There were ten looks to choose from, a good starting point if you don't have a clue what you're after, but there's the option to mix and match, to get a look just right for you. I opted for the dolce vita look, as I love a bold eye and warm tones, whilst mum was after a subtle glow, so went for the golden goddess look.
The girls talked us through each product they were putting on, explaining the science behind the magic. Yep, actual magic, when people rave about the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream and foundation, they're not lying, it's real. My makeup artist, Olivia, explained how they actually close off your pores and plump up your skin, as opposed to other products that can do the opposite. That magic cream is definitely going on my wishlist.
Both me and mum had the wonder glow primer, which gives a great glow under any base, and can even be used on top of your foundation. Mum loved it so much she bought one for herself, plus a bronzer. I may have treated myself to a colour chameleon eye shadow stick and pillow talk lip liner... I can't wait to play around with them and show you in some upcoming posts and videos - my lips looked seriously amazing, like Kylie but not too, well, Kylie. You know what I mean? Check out the Charlotte Tilbury products available at Selfridges to see for yourself.
After 20 minutes or so in the chair, learning all about the makeup available at Selfridges and the literal magic of Charlotte Tilbury makeup, it was time for a Mother's Day makeover selfie. We were both over the moon with our Mother's Day beauty, I don't think I've ever seen my mum so confident! Not only is mum now considering her next makeup appointment at Selfridges, but we're both massive Charlotte Tilbury fangirls now, I'm already planning on going back to get my makeup done again! Sorry bank balance.
Huge thank you to the team at Charlotte Tilbury at Selfridges Trafford Centre beauty hall and thank you to my mum for coming with me, that was something different for Mother's Day, right? Have you ever had your makeup done at Selfridges before? I so, what concession do you think we should try next?
Good vibes guys ✌
