Rexmas basement Rex concept store Liverpool

Remember in my last post when I said I wanted to talk more about Liverpool on my blog? Well that came at a pretty good time, because this post is about Rex's new basement, aka the home of Rexmas. Rex is a concept store based at the bottom of Bold Street in Liverpool. Many of you may already know this, but I always say 'Bold Street is the best street'. Know why? Because it is. Nowhere else in the city, hell, even the country, will you find a street filled with so much quirkiness. There's people from all walks of life, the city's best eccentrics (we even talked about the man dressed as a pirate who came to pay the Rex cereal cafe a visit), food from every corner of the world and independent after independent shop, salon and cafe.

As each year passes, I try harder to shop more independent for Christmas. My mum owns her own business (visit her on Etsy!), and since the launch I've realised just how hard people work at their craft, whatever that may be. So this year, I'll be buying a whole lot of gifts from small businesses, and I'm sure to find some of those at Rex. In fact, some fellow members of the Merseyside Etsy team are stocked there, like The Chocolate Cellar. There's also beautiful prints by local artists, big, beautiful hair bows, leather satchels and more.

It's not just gifts and pretty picnic tables in the Rex basement though, Santa himself has his living room situated just underneath the concept store. Yep, take a trip down to Rex's basement and you too can be chilling in Santa's throne next to this old school phone I totally want for myself.

Have you started your Rexmas shopping yet? (lol see what I did there?) Find out more about Rex on their website.

Good vibes guys
