Back at it with another transitional outfit post for a/w 2018, and this time, it's starring my new favourite jumper, alongside my new(ish) favourite jeans. If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen me have a little shopping day the other weekend, and as well as the cord mini skirt from my last post, I also picked up this oversized jumper from Zara. I've always been a fan of an oversized top half, so when I saw this baggy, almost grunge style jumper on the table, I knew I had to pick it up. Believe it or not, this is a size small, as as a size 10/12 I'm definitely not a size small in Zara - something to keep in mind if you fancy picking one up for yourself.

It can be fairly easy to feel like you're drowning when you're wearing something so oversized, so whenever I do I like to play around with the silhouette. Seeing as the hemline of this jumper is so long, I could either go with way-too-long jeans and go all out Kurt Cobain or hitch it up a little and pair this piece with my favourite pants shape - the kick flare. I first shared these babies in a style post earlier this summer, and have barely taken them off since. The lighter wash, the distressed hem, the length and fit, they're perfect for me, and I can't wait to style them more this autumn/winter for you all.

On their own, a jumper and a pair of jeans can feel fairly boring though, right? So to spice it up a little (and I mean a little, I mean it's hardly revolutionary) I popped this vintage Liberty scarf into my hair, you know, just like all the cool girls on Instagram. Yeah it may be jumping on the bandwagon a little bit, but I love how this tiny little detail really took this look to a new level, leaving me feeling more boujie than boring. Now I'm on a mission to find more completely necessary hair scarves... Another fail safe way to elevating what could be a kinda scruffy outfit is rings. A whole butt load of rings. Lately I've been piling them on and it always makes me feel just that little bit better about an outfit. Anyone want to get me some new ones for my birthday next month?

Of course I can't get through this post without mentioning this handmade market bag, made by my very own mum.If you didn't know already, she makes these gorgeous (and very strong) bags and lots more pretty things and sells them in her Etsy shop - please give it a look and treat yourself whilst supporting an independent business if you can! We may have more to come very soon...

Don't you just love it when you find something that's your new favourite? Your new favourite jumper, or your new favourite jeans.. it can be kind of a comfort I guess. Especially when it's cosy and huge and basically a big giant hug like this jumper. There's so much good knitwear on the high street right now I could keep going, but this will certainly do me for now.

Thanks again to @anthonyylee_ for taking these photos!

Good vibes guys ✌🏼
