UK blogger wears sixties style rock n roll inspired outfit with baker boy cap, pastel blue turtle neck jumper, red a line skirt, black tights and zip up ring pull boots

As you may have seen on my Instagram stories, I spent this Friday in Manchester, with my bestie Beth. Up at 6am, we had a pretty long day roaming the northern quarter (where I spent pretty much every afternoon when I lived there) and shopping our socks off. My favourite find of the day had to be my new checked Mango pinafore, which I can't wait to share with you properly on the blog. It's super sixties, as I've been consciously thinking more about my buying choices like I said last week. Actually, since writing my last post about how Instagram might be making me lose my personal style, I've had a bit of a spendy week. I'll be adding as many pieces as possible to my shop page, which I always update with things new in in my wardrobe, or at least similar, and things that are on my wishlist. It's safe to say a few things of those have been purchased lately...

Yeah, I know there's a ladder in my tights.

Other buys on the day included a few bits and pieces from Homesense. We don't have one of these in Liverpool city centre so I got a little excited and a little carried away.. And of course I picked up a little something in Magma, one of my Manchester highlights. I'm sure you'll see them on my Instagram soon enough, along with plenty of sixties and seventies influences in my style as I make a more conscious effort to stay true to myself and my Liverpool rock n roll roots, even in Manchester.

This skirt is one of those things that ends up in the back of your wardrobe and you completely forget about, until you uncover it one day and wonder how you ever survived without it. This A-line was an old sale find, but the matching jacket I never got with it always haunts me. Speaking of which, I went to a Topshop personal shopping bloggers breakfast yesterday and may have picked up a red denim skirt, sans matching jacket and I'm already considering making my way back into town to complete the set. Shall I?! It would look so cute clashing with this pastel blue, or a classic striped tee.. I think I have to.

Good vibes guys ✌🏼
