Liverpool fashion blogger with SS17 trends: gingham

You might remember a while back when the sun first had his hat on this year, I posted a SS17 trends: gingham crop top and blue jeans post, where I introduced you all to my cute af gingham bardot crop top from Urban Outfitters. Well, I'm still not over gingham. In fact, is anybody? The correct answer is no, btw. You've probably seen the Zara dress (which has recently gone into the sale by the way) and my mum, being the cutie that she is, made me my very own version of the infamous gingham midi dress, which I've styled with these gorgeous cat eye shades from

Isn't it adorable?! It reminds me of those bohemian tiered skirts anyone and everyone wore in the early 2000s, but a little more grown up. I'm also loving the bright red, which you might know is my favourite colour of all time. It also makes a sneaky appearance on the soles of these flatform Zara sandals I shared on my Instagram this week. They also appear in my latest vlog if you want to go check out my Youtube channel whilst you're here!

So, these glasses. You all know I love a good cat eye, they suit my face shape just right (aka massive forehead and crooked nose - cat eyes hide all sins). These tortoise shell sunglasses are from Glasses Shop, who kindly sent me this pair to try out. You can get loads of sunglasses on there and even prescription lenses and prescription sunglasses, so if you're after a new style of glasses to try out make sure you have a browse through the Glasses Shop site to find your eyeglasses online. There's some gorgeous Ray-Ban inspired 90s shades but I just couldn't pull them off (as I sadly know from trying on hundreds of pairs in TK Maxx with Beth on a regular basis).

Good news gingham fans, there's even more of the biggest SS17 trend to come. Today I went to Megan Ellaby's charity sale at Jimmy's in Manchester and came home with the cutest pastel blue gingham off the shoulder top and a clay mask which I'm going to try as soon as I've pressed publish on this post. Despite being horrifically hungover, we had the nicest day, and it was lovely to have a good chat with Megan who I haven't spoken to in forever and finally meet Winnie (go follow her on Instagram if you're not already for some serious style inspo).
