Spring 2017 outfit ideas from Liverpool fashion blogger

Well guys, it's officially spring here in the UK. And whilst the entire internet seems to suggest floral dresses and pastels for spring fashion trends, not all of us are about that life. There's nothing wrong with wanting to dress like a meadow as soon as the sun starts to arrive, but that's just not my jam. (Please note I'm really trying to resist the devil wears Prada quote here). Instead, I present to you my idea of a cold spring day outfit, because let's face it, bare legs and cute dresses aren't always that realistic for a UK spring outfit. Hell, we barely get those kinds of opportunities in summer.

For this spring 2017 outfit idea, I'm wearing my usual pieces of jeans, boots and some kind of jacket, but adapting it ever so slightly from my winter style. Whilst I may have rocked the blue denim all winter long, in spring I always tend to veer more towards blue than black jeans, they just feel a bit lighter and more spring appropriate. Plus, there's the lighter jacket, which I introduced to you in my last outfit post, what to wear to a gig. I've paired it with this long sleeved top (which I may have taken from Beth's wardrobe whilst she was out..) because this particular day was kinda chilly. Still, parts were sunny enough for me to bring the sunglasses back out, which I wore to death last summer.

On this cold spring day, I wore this outfit to attend the #Livbloggersignite workshop ran by Ruth Writes. A few of the local Liverpool babes (and a few new faces) visited Roja Pinchos in China town to hear all about SEO, Wordpress tech stuff and hear from local girl bosses. Plus me and Jessi from JessiLou Blog got to chat all about blink and even went for a cute coffee date at Root Coffee afterwards. If you follow me on Instagram you'll already know how obsessed I am with this place, it's definitely one of my favourite coffee shops in Liverpool. Big thank you to Ruth for organising the event and every one else involved, I really hope there's another one soon! Plus, you should all go check out some of the fab bloggers that were there, because who doesn't want more people to follow?

So that's my chilly spring outfit, no pastels or florals, just a bit of light wash denim and light layers. Have you got any more outfit ideas for spring? If so, let me know!
