MARY QUANT BERET7:00 pm
Every once in a while, something really special enters your wardrobe. It might be a handbag you've saved for for years, a family heirloom ring, or a vintage Mary Quant beret your mum's friend finds for you in a charity shop. Jean, if you're reading this, THANK YOU! I will keep this beautiful hat for years and years to come, and if I end up having kids (unlikely, but if), this is something I'll pass on to them.
I've always been a big fan of the sixties, the fashion, the music, swinging London. But many forget the impact Liverpool had on the decade. Like, hello, the Beatles are from here. If there was no Liverpool the decade would have been a total write off. (However true this is depends on how much you love the Beatles). I was thinking the other day about my blog, and realised I really don't make enough noise about the beautiful city I'm from. People come from all over the world to the Cavern and go for a ride on the magical mystery tour. So this marks the start of my Liverpool 60s lookbook. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you may have already seen that I'm currently filming a lookbook (how exciting!), and this is one of the looks that will be in it.
