How could I do a festival style series without including the queen of cool Alexa Chung? In all honesty, every look of hers impresses me, especially at festivals which are infamously difficult to dress for. But when pictures emerged of Alexa Chung at Glastonbury 2014, she excelled herself with this metallic look. I'll definitely be keeping this look in mind when I'm planning my own festival outfits soon. Here's how to get Alexa's look for less;

Alexa's playsuit is simple, with the metallic sheen taking her from day to night effortlessly, which is ideal for a festival because unfortunately we can't carry several outfit options for each day of the weekend on our backs. The girlieness of the playsuit is perfectly balanced against a casual grey sweat (again with the day to night thing). Earn extra style points by making yours sportswear; the bigger the logo the better in this case.

Our Alexa is a sensible festival goer - no heels here - she dresses for the weather, and it's just as well considering the downpour Glastonbury was treated with this year! Usually backstage is a little less muddy than it is out on the fields so a higher welly is ideal, just don't forget the grey socks to match your sweat.

Of course Alexa is never over accessorised so keep it simple with just one or two pieces, no matter how strong the temptation may be! This little diamond ring is just enough, you don't want to go overboard when wearing metallics. And last but not least, we can't channel Alexa Chung without a good old cat eye, can we?
