I've probably said this before, but this is my favourite time of year. The pretty leaves falling off the trees, awesome Halloween costumes, toffee apples, fireworks, my birthday (obviously), and best of all, autumnal outfits.

It is well and truly time to whack out the faux fur and well, the tartan has been out all year round. But I love the fact it's not bitterly cold yet to the point where I look like an eskimo. I wore this outfit around uni the other day and had to take off several layers due to the fact I was melting. Instinctively I went to pair these checked trousers with black, but thought it was a little too early in the season to be doing that, so I did the opposite and I think it worked quite well, especially with my lovely faux fur stole from about 2 years ago. I love this outfit so much I'm going to have to think of tweaks so I can re-wear it..
